Rebuilding Together Baltimore is supported by the generous donations of local businesses, religious groups, government agencies, philanthropic foundations, and private individuals like you.

Our mission to help the elderly and disabled “age in place” by making their homes warmer, drier, and safer, limits fall related injuries and elder care issues and reduces the need for medical care and related social services. Additionally, by working with community members to improve neighborhoods, we help maintain property values, reduce crime, and increase home ownership.

How do we use your donation?

$3,000 helps us to provide a new roof and gutters for a low-income homeowner

$1, 500 helps us to buy a new furnace for a homeowner with no heat

$750 helps us to buy the materials needed to build a wheelchair ramp

$500 helps us buy a new hot water heater for a homeowner

$250 can buy a new sump pump to help keep a basement dry

$100 helps us to buy 5 hot water heater insulating blankets. low-income homeowners spend 20% of their income on home energy costs. Hot water heater blankets reduce the amount of energy needed to heat water for the home, thereby saving our clients money on their energy bills.

$75 helps us to buy 2 grabs bars and a non-slip bathmat for an older low-income homeowner with severe arthritis. These will help to prevent the homeowner from falling in the tub/shower. Falls are the leading cause injury-related death among older adults. By helping to prevent falls, we are saving lives.

$50 helps us buy smoke ad carbon monoxide detectors plus a kitchen fire extinguisher

$25 helps us to buy the materials to install a second handrail on interior stairs. This handrail will make it possible for the homeowner to walk up and down the stairs safely and will reduce their risk of falling.
